Mr Glenn Pearson
Head Aboriginal Research Development,Telethon Kids Institute
Mr Glenn Pearson, a Noongar from Western Australia and father of five, is the Manager Aboriginal Health Research which includes managing the Kulunga Research Network.
Glenn is a Chief Investigator in the Institute’s Centre of Research Excellence in Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing and is completing a Doctorate at the University of Western Australia (UWA). He is also a member of the Health Consumer Council of WA, Curtin University’s Human Research Ethics Committee and the Institute’s Community and Consumer Participation Advisory Council.
A trained primary school teacher, Glenn has 15 years of experience in senior positions within the Australian and State Governments in a range of areas including health, education and child protection.
Glenn’s doctorate has explored how delivery of child protection, child health and educational services to Aboriginal people in the Perth Metropolitan and Geraldton Regions by Non Aboriginal Government workers is mediated by the relationships between these two groups.
