Chair of Allied Health, Child and Adolescent Health Services and Curtin University

Professor Catherine Elliott is Chair of Allied Health, Child and Adolescent Health Services (CAHS) at Curtin University, Associate Research Professor at Telethon Kids Institute and Senior Research Fellow at UWA School of Paediatrics and Child Health, and the School of Sports Science, Exercise and Health. She received undergraduate training at Curtin University, her PhD from UWA and holds a GradDipCE from Deakin University. Catherine is a CI and West Australian Lead on the 2016 NHMRC CRE, “Australian Cerebral Clinical Trials Network” and on several multicentre clinical trials. She has over 20 years’ experience as a paediatric occupational therapist, enabling consumer engagement in research and helped establish a steering group to ensure consumer involvement in research at CAHS. She has published 41 research articles, 23 in the period 2014-16, and has supervised 23 postdoctoral and doctoral students as well as mentoring Honours students and allied health clinicians. She is recipient of the MindLink Brightwater Interdisciplinary Focussed Research Award in 2014 for her work on consumer involvement in research.
